As of now, xPraetorius of the blog entitled Praetorian Writers’ Group is hereby banned indefinitely from this blog. I will not link to the blog, but if you’re curious and want to check it out, put the blog’s name in the search engine.
At this time, I want to sincerely apologize for my mismanagement and thoughtless decision to lift the ban against him/her/them – screw it, I’ll refer to it as ‘him’ – giving him a chance to express his views in hopes that xPraetorius will conduct himself in a more civil fashion without the condescension that he is known for. I’ll admit, it was a serious misstep on my part as his views are considerably toxic, and he’s frankly just an unapologetic abusive asshole.
For those who want to know why xPraetorius banned, it’s not due to different views, but the way he argues. Here are segments from how xPraetorius responds to differing views as well as what he believes to be true:
“…You’re an ignorant, uneducated, illiterate moron, with very little going on between your ears. I’d prefer it if such as you would ignore me. You never have anything intelligent to say, so there’s no point in your saying anything at all.”
This was directed at a commenter who defiantly and humorously refutes xPraetorius’ responses.
“…There were more white European slaves in Africa than there were in America.”
“Your racism is a great discredit to you personally. You demand that others not be racist, but it’s okay for you to be racist? Are you kidding me?”
Note that I NEVER said that it was okay for me to be racist. I even said I wasn’t proud of it. But that confession is what he holds on to and uses it to further his bullying.
“I don’t suspect this post will make it to your blog… you have a tendency to censor those who disagree with you. Shame, though, because it represents another opportunity for you to learn, and to grow, and to be a better man. An opportunity that, I regretfully assume, you’ll decline to take.”
Bullshit. I censor those who won’t act like adults on my blog. I can agree to disagree, but you can’t argue with facts.
“You can’t talk to me because you don’t have anything worth saying.”
“Your inability to control your temper makes you seem like an uneducated, half-wit. You’re not, are you?”
“Because it’s not a big problem. There’s no reason to get all hot and bothered about something that’s not a big problem.”
‘It’ meaning racism, particularly against people of color, especially blacks.
“BW and I have gone back and forth for a long time. It’s all part of a long-standing effort on the part of my colleagues and me to study the Race Grievance Industry as a whole. BW is one of the RGI’s “foot soldiers,” and one of the few stubborn enough to hang in there for a while. Most of the ranks of the RGI are cowards, and unable to maintain a cordial debate. BW has his moments (see the rant in this thread) and then he has other moments when he’s not a complete clodpole.”
“BW’s an okay bloke, but prone to flights of fancy, and convinced that he’s a real soldier against racism. However, the racism he rails against hasn’t been a big problem in America for half a century. What black people face in America is daunting, but it’s because of a massively condescending, horribly infantilizing impulse on the part of the political Left.”
And this little gem:
“Obama is a racist, while Trump is not. Therefore to rant about Trump’s racism would be the same thing as accusing Shaquille O’Neal of being short. Why rant about something that’s not true. So, yes, also I’m not a racist.”
Get the picture?
I’ve tried my best to discuss and even tried to debate in a civil manner. As I’ve learned, people like xPraetorius seems more concerned with the tone of one’s argument as opposed to why they’re upset in the first place. But in xPraetorius’ case, it’s not just about the tone of those against racism but that the problem itself isn’t major.
Frankly, it’s gotten past vexing. As you can see by the snippets from the piles of responses he leaves behind, xPraetorius is not interested in civility and can’t stop with the juvenile name-calling or childish condemnation foolishly claiming how it’s not harmful and is somehow smart. Furthermore, his views are warped in favor of actual racism, the kind he doesn’t think is a huge issue. Yet, he believes he’s intellectually motivated and is dedicated to the truth. But as you can see, he thinks 45 is not a racist. How close to the truth can he be?
I never intended to change xPraetorius’ conservative views, but his lack of tact, manners and blatant childish refusal of different opinions as well as simple-to-research facts told in a respectable manner made it impossible to have an open conversation with him. However, it seemed he wished for me to accept and adopt the right wing way of thinking, but he doesn’t seem adult enough to accept that I refuse and that I’m not as liberal as he thinks. Yet, his constant attacks have drained me, and I made the decision to cut him off completely.
You can be sure there’s a chance, xPraetorius will copy, paste and refute this post in his own blog while making himself look intellectually superior. He will call me a coward, among other names, and make me look foolish on his blog. He has the right to do so, but I will back away from his bullshit from now on, and he can call me a coward all he wants.
So far, xPraetorius went after another black blogger Abagond. Then, he turned towards me. And now he’s after At the Bar. But he’s no longer allowed to come here as his IP address is on the comment blacklist and will NEVER be removed.
In the end, it’s best for myself and all of us to distance ourselves from xPraetorius, otherwise his views and cyberbullying tactics will harm us more to his apparent sick satisfaction if we allow his trolling to continue here.
