  1. Patty Duke seems familiar from the earlier stuff like ‘China Beach’, not the main character, but a couple cameos maybe? I loved being able to watch syndicates of some of the White Shadow stuff on ESPN Classic back in the early 2000s. Good show and social arrangements were ahead of its time the way some series such as the Facts of Life that came a few years after were.

  2. I was deeply saddened to read about Patty Duke passing away she was one of my favorites. She was such a talented actress and she was always very candid about her struggles with her mental health issues. This is such a terrible loss. And I used to like The White Shadow on CBS it was a good show. So sad to hear of both of them passing. When we hear of these entertainment personalities deaths I am reminded of my own mortality. Life is precious and short tomorrow is not promised to any of us.

  3. R.I.P. to them both. 😦 I remember reading an article in “People” magazine that had excerpts of her autobiography that dealt candidly about her mental health issues. And I remember watching “The White Shadow” as a kid. I agree that it was a good show.

  4. We used to watch “White Shadow” religiously very sad to hear about Ken. He was also Dianne Carroll’s love interest on “Dynasty”

  5. You had to feel for Patty.. She’s been through so much with her mental illness is a major struggle and then the sepsis..wow! Sorry to hear about her death. My condolences to her family
