Gospel music legend Andraé Crouch has died at age 72.
The Grammy-winning artist was an accomplished singer, songwriter and arranger passed after being hospitalized at Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Northridge, Calif. on Thursday evening. He had been hospitalized since Jan. 3 after suffering a heart attack.
It was announced that Crouch would go out on the Andraé Crouch All-Star Tribute Tour called “Let The Church Say Amen” that was slated to kick off in December 2014, but the tour was postponed because he was hospitalized with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. His twin sister Sandra Crouch released a statement saying that his prognosis looked “better.”
In June 2014, Crouch was hospitalized as well and AlwaysAList.com reported that his family was soliciting prayers.
