2015 will be upon us, unless you’ve read this post after New Year’s. But looking back in the year 2014, it was definitely a wild ride with more loops to go through.
We lost several famous people along the way. We lost James Avery and Juanita Moore when the year started on a ridiculously cold note due to that thing known as the polar vortex. You know, the time when everything was much colder than usual and conservatives considered it proof that there’s no such thing as global warming.
Then, there was the whole Chris Christie scandal and that situation with the Washington Bridge. It was on the news for a while, but I guess it’s no longer an issue, at least for the New Jersey mayor.
I guess people were more hyped about the Seattle Seahawks going to the Super Bowl with Richard Sherman leading the charge in the most scary-to-most-white-people way when he trashed talked like a WWE wrester on national TV. People, mostly racists, considered that “thug” behavior. We all know why that is. But even if he was “respectable” like Forrest Whitiker’s role in the movie The Butler, racist fuckers would still find a reason to hate on Sherman. A black man, especially a father doing the damn thing like combing his daughter’s hair can never win in this shithole of a society. If assholes like Ted Nugent can take a shit on the legacy of Dr. King, they can screw over any black person. Or they would prefer to find the less reputable of us like that video of a toddler cursing up a storm while adults got their chuckles on and consider that as “black culture”.
That gave rise to the media sensation of the so-called “knockout games” where a few black youth would literally knock down random people in the street. Media reporting got so bad that you have people like Ashley Depew “creating” nonexistent black suspects to cover up those who actually fucked them up.
The hatred of black men is evident among America’s “finest” as it seems like we’ve seen a spike of cop killings this year alone. We’ve lost Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, Akai Gurley, Eric Garner, John Crawford and Yvette Smith, Tanesha Anderson and God knows who else. And those responsible such as the pigs that murdered Aiyana Standley-Jones, Michael Brown and Tamir Rice were able to walk away thanks to a racist injustice system.
Cops like Darren Wilson, Jeffery Follmer and apparently, hundreds of cops nationwide have that police privilege that immunes them from any responsibility when they abuse or kill anyone, including unarmed black folks. They think that they’re just doing their job and everything would be cool if people would just cooperate. And if they get their asses beat, that’s all on them.
Out of that chaos sprang a movement that demands that black lives be given the respect and dignity that is only afforded to white people. One man by the name of Ismaaiyl Brinsley took it to fatal extremes executing two cops after shooting his girl and before taking his own life. And the media saw fit to link him to the movement.
Speaking of the media and its shenanigans, have you noticed how black victims are treated poorly as compared to white suspects? If not, lots of people did. It seems white people are basically good folks, but a few – according to the same media – have glitches that cause them to go haywire in the most violent way possible. Such was the case of Elliot Rodger, the misogynistic, racist, overprivileged fool who shot up Isla Vista in California or Bradley William Stone, the guy who shot six people in Pennsylvania before killing himself. And let’s not forget the pumpkin madness caused by young whites over something stupid or the usual Halloween racists who still haven’t gotten the moment that people of color are not costumes. All while showing the world they didn’t care too much for the numerous African women kidnapped earlier this year.
White people, particularly those of the famous variety, continued to show off their privileges and racism this year. Iggy Azalea, Ridley Scott (Well, Hollywood in general for producting such tripe like Blended, Noah and Exodus), Donald Sterling, Tal Fortgang, Anthony Cumia (One-half of the former duo Opie and Anthony), the dudes who frequent on websites like 4chan, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, the fools who went to poor black neighborhoods pranking poor blacks and almost getting their asses whooped on and, of course, xPrae continue to deny white privilege while actively perpetuating, participating, producing and promoting it.
We also saw black shame from the media. Ray Rice (and a few other black athletes that caught the attention of TMZ which caught the attention of other news outlets), Solange and yes, Bill Cosby have made the news for all the wrong reasons that threaten negative stereotypes. Ray Rice beat his wife. Solange beat Jay-Z. And Cosby’s accused of beating up the pu…well, I won’t go there, but you know what I mean. He’s accused of being a serial rapist. Then there’s the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Love and Hip Hop and the scourge known as Sorority Sisters. Does Mona Scott hate black people?
We lost a lot of notable people this year. We lost James Avery, Robin Williams, The Ultimate Warrior, Marion Berry, Big Bank Hank of the Sugar Hill Gang, Buster Jones, Joan Rivers, Meshach Taylor, Bobby Womack, Casey Kasem, Ruby Dee, Chester Nez, Yuri Kochiyama, Dr. Maya Angelou, Bob Hoskins, DJ E-Z Rock, Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Karyn Washington, Frankie Knuckles and Chokwe Lumumba,
However, we’ve seen a lot of great things this year. Shonda Rhimes wows audiences with her new show How to Get Away with Murder starring Viola Davis. We saw the release of Blackish starring Anthony Anderson and Tracey Ellis Ross. We see Michael Sam showing the world that being gay is a beautiful thing. We saw young black women and men being overachievers, geniuses, entrepreneurs, activists, defying stereotypes and doing the damn thing. And we will, without a doubt, see more of that in 2015.
What do you remember most about 2014? What do you remember that I’ve missed in this article? What do you hope to see in 2015? Sound off below and I’ll see you next year.
P.S. I may create my own website.
By now, you’ve heard of the execution-style murders of two cops in Brooklyn. A dude named Ismaaiyl Brinsley shot his girlfriend in Baltimore, Maryland. He traveled to Brooklyn supposed to get revenge for the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown and shot Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos from behind as they sat in the patrol car. Then, he went into the subway and murdered himself.
As you can tell, neither of the cops were white, but as we’ve seen with Sean Bell’s murder, that makes no difference. During a time where black season has been unofficially and unapologetically declared by police, a black life is still suspect and expendable no matter what color the police is.
Anywho, the media has been digging up on this guy Brinsley, and have uncovered his extensive, violent criminal history. Overall, Brinsley had one fucked up life. Even his family was afraid of him.
But something interesting happened as this all went down. The news media tried to tack this brutal murder onto the #BlackLivesMatter Movement in a way that appeared to be honest journalism. They reported that the movement condemned this act of violence and did not consider it part of their cause.
That’s all well and good, but why is there a need for them to speak out against it when their protests have been nonviolent and that Brinsley was only one man? But then you have to remember where you are. You’re in a society where bad black behavior is monolithic, and instant proof of the pathology of black culture in a so-called “post-racial” society.
Sometimes black leadership takes the heat. Conservatives are already condemning the double murder. Stacey Dash, actress and Fox News contributor, blamed Al Sharpton for the killings. Fox News is blaming Attorney General Eric Holder. Rudi Giuliani, former mayor of New York, is blaming Barack Obama. Even by right wing standards, that makes no sense. But conservatism these days doesn’t give a damn about sense, common or otherwise.
The right seems to have a funny way of picking and choosing their battles. They’re frothing at the mouth over this incident, condemning it as evidence of black pathology. Yet, when white people go on a rampage, not only are they given the benefit of a doubt commonly known as individualism, but there’s not one peep from the police-supporting public calling for accountability from white leadership, let alone white people in general. To do that would be race baiting in the Bizarro-like mentality of the right where white people are victims of the racism they realistically benefit from and contribute to.
The killing of the two cops are already having a negative effect on black people in America, whether they’re protesting or not. The protesters are already catching heat for the murders by none other than police, and it’s not far-fetched to dread a negative backlash against anti-police violence movements and the black community. Someone will unfortunately pay for this.
Being black in a racist culture means that you are never and individual. Ismaaiyl Brinsley’s violent past is pushed and shoved as “evidence” of black thug culture. As a result, those who support police actions will continue cheerleading whenever a black person becomes another in a growing list of victims at the hands of cops. White supremacy holds on to the belief that black people are naturally violent and dysfunctional. And the police, media and press continue to push that image no matter how many lives are lost, because not only black people are one, huge broken collective of degenerates, but our very existence is rated lower than that of animals.

Brotha has recently written several valid and eloquent posts about the growing number of rape accusations leveled at once popular TV star Bill Cosby. He states some possible reasons why black people are reluctant to jump on the bandwagon to attack black males that are famous. I agree with him, especially the one about how white males don’t hold themselves under the same microscope of scrutiny.
It was recently revealed that another TV dad has fallen from grace. The star of a once popular show “7th Heaven” admitted that he had sexual relationships with at least three underaged girls. However, in that case the actor, Stephen Collins, is white. So, the rules for vilification change dramatically as they always do.
Despite the fact that some white folks in the media try to pretend that everything is equal when it comes to male celebrities behaving badly, we all know what the real truth is. Overprivileged and arrogant white males in the media aren’t about to start holding themselves to the same standards as those lowly Negroes. It hasn’t happened yet, and I think it never will, particularly when you have a bunch of egomaniacal pissants who believe that their farts smell like daisies.
The White male’s guilt is not the same, because white males can’t ever really be guilty don’t you know. There also has to be some mitigating factor, especially the one about money. It seems that any time a white woman accuses a white man of a heinous act, she has an ulterior motive. There can’t be any valid proof of her tale, because white males just don’t do those sorts of things. They can control their impulses, unlike the dark Negro man, and since when do white males have to rape anyway?
It’s black men that have no accountability of their libido, which is why a white woman’s cry of rape must be believable instantly. The women folk must be protected at all costs, except from white men, because they don’t do shit like that.
I would like to say that this post isn’t meant to be an indictment on the accusers. Honestly, I don’t know if the man is guilty or not. However, there are a few things about the accusers that are problematic, to say the least. And yes, I know that not all of the accusers are white. Still, the majority is and that’s what has white folks in the media so up in arms. Some white males in the media like shock jock Howard Stern have mentioned how supposedly ‘powerful’ Mr. Cosby was and still is. WHAT?!
Please! In the era that most of the accusers are describing, Mr. Cosby was a barely known up and coming comic. He has yet to have a successful movie career. So, he has never been anything but a TV star. In that case, where’s all this ‘power’ that white males in the media are imaging.
Some of the accusers are former playboy bunnies, and it’s no secret that Bill Cosby was a frequent guest at the Playboy mansion. That leads me to ask this question, wasn’t their boss Hugh Hefner a far more powerful man than Mr. Cosby and therefore could have helped them? You mean to tell me that a group of treasured white women working and living with a millionaire white man can’t trust him to the extent that he would have Cosby’s nuts in a jar by midnight were they to come forward?
Sorry, but I don’t buy that with a 12 dollar bill. Something IS rotten in Denmark when there is not one attempt to prosecute this alleged predator. Also, if they were so damn afraid of him when he was basically a nobody, why are they saying something now when he does have the power to stick it to them in court, particularly the mouth that bored former supermodel Janice Dickinson. Please! That woman has never shied away from any opportunity to flap her big yap, but back then, she was just so terrified. Come on!
I was watching the film “Daddy’s Girls” starring the chocolate wonder Idiris Elba, and he was recounting a painful memory from his college youth. He had finished having sex with a white female classmate at her parents’ house. When daddy dearest comes home and finds a half- naked young black man in his house, he hollers at him to leave then coerces her into saying that she was raped. Despite the fact that their sex was consensual she still decried that she was a victim of the horrible Mandingo.
Brotha also pointed out, and rightfully so, that white males like Collins or Roman Polnaski who are blatantly guilty get a free pass. So for the black folks who want to whine about how we shouldn’t support black males, because white people support their perverts, I say wait a damn minute. We don’t know for sure if this man IS guilty, and that there isn’t a smear campaign to tear down yet another n**ger.
It’s not like this would be the first damn time that’s ever happened, and no, white people don’t get to judge when they refuse to hold themselves accountable for awful shit. You want to talk about powerful, how about the Kennedy family and the cousin twice accused of rape. Many of the angry white folks slamming Bill hurried with winged feet to defend precious little William Kennedy Smith of rape, although he had two accusations of rape and two women at the not-for-profit center where he worked threatening lawsuits of sexual harassment. The same folks denigrating Mr. Cosby had no problem getting over the “where there’s smoke there’s fire” sentiment with Smith. They had no qualms about another Kennedy cousin Michael having an illicit affair with a 14 year-old girl when he was in his 30’s. Or when another Kennedy cousin named Michael Skakel was charged with murder, and let’s not forget old uncle Teddy and that whole Chappaquiddick matter.
But according to white people in the media, an extremely wealthy, well respected white political family doesn’t have the same power as a rich black male TV star that, for most of the beginning of his career when these rapes were alleged to have happened, barely had a penny to his name. Still, he was supposedly that powerful and well-connected that he could make 15 rape accusations magically disappear.
Bill Cosby shouldn’t have been a comedian he should have been a magician. Maybe the governor of Arkansas because nobody took very seriously the multiple accusations of sexual misconduct against former president Bill Clinton either, even when one of the women Juanita Broderick claimed that Clinton raped her when he was governor. Her cries were seen as the desperate act of the Republicans to shame one of the best Presidents ever. Juanita was not only not believed but degraded at every turn by venomous white folks in the media saying that she was a bitter ex-employee out for a buck.
This is the very problem a lot of black folks have when white people try to act holier-than with a famous Negro. You use any derogatory rationale to explain away the notion that a white male, especially one that has a shitload more power than Bill Cosby could ever hope to, could not be a bad guy. All while keeping up the false impression that you care so damn much about white women. I loved to see even half that protective nature when the one being accused is also white.

I have to admit. I’m very conflicted about this whole Bill Cosby rape scandal. I, like a number of black people, grew up watching and enjoying his groundbreaking smash comedy “The Cosby Show” in the 80’s. I also remember fondly sitting in front of the TV every Saturday morning for “Fat Albert”. However, I can’t get pass the ugly and expanding list of women that are accusing him of being a rapist.
Those who were pissed off at Mr. Cosby for his inflammatory words about poor people at a charity dinner are now probably gloating. They will say “I told you so” and claim that it’s always the ones who are first to criticize others that have the biggest skeletons in their closet. I don’t know if that’s true, and I don’t find fault with those people either. Bill brought a lot of this negativity on himself with his haughty, arrogant and judgmental comments. Although I did, and still do, agree with him about taking some accountability for your actions, I refuse to get past many of his inconsistencies.
When Mr. Cosby had to face critics of his own like noted activist and author Michael Eric Dyson instead of defending what he spoke, he backtracked. Cosby said that he didn’t want it to seem that he was letting white people off the hook. Come again?
White people had nothing to do with his angry rant, and he said as much. Then he tries to play the CYA game by saying that he meant all poor people and not just black folks. Well, that’s interesting considering that black people were the only ones he mentioned. If his feelings and ideals weren’t worth him defending, then I sure as hell ain’t going to protect them, especially not now that these allegations are gaining steam and women are coming out left and right.
Of course, there are some black people who still believe in Mr. Cosby and have attacked these women for coming forward now. Some are saying that they should have spoken up years ago, particularly the 63 year-old woman who is in jail and claims that Cosby raped her four decades ago when she was just 19. This is the part where I am having the most trouble. Regardless of what you think about Mr. Cosby, this is still America. And I find it impossible to believe that a black man, even one that is rich and famous, could get away with raping a young white woman 44 years ago. A black man that is a celebrity in this day and age can’t expect that their celebrity would prevent them from facing either scrutiny or prosecution.
I also have a major problem with the way this story is being handled by a very racially biased media. Any time the accused is a black male, the word accuser is treated with the utmost respect. The accuser gets the complete benefit of the doubt and her credibility, no matter how shaky it is, never called into question. Think about for a minute how that scenario is played out when the accused is a white male. When the accused is white, it’s the absolute opposite. Her reputation is immediately dragged through the mud and every last little detail of her personal life is put on display in an attempt to discredit her. She is judged harshly with very few people wondering if she just might actually be telling the truth. No, she is forever out to make a quick buck. A concept that has yet to be entertained in the case against Bill Cosby. I guess being rich and black means that nobody wants to ever take monetary advantage of your troubles.
Granted, I can to some extent understand why a lot of black people are using this as a chance to point fingers, because they are apt to hold grudges for what Cosby said at the fundraiser dinner. Yet, I would remind those people that whatever your feelings about him, don’t forget the double standards of arrogance that continue to linger anytime there is a salacious scandal involving a black man, even if the man in this situation is somebody that rub a bunch of people the wrong way with his scathing commentary on the less fortunate.
Trust me when I say that white folks in the media and public hurrying to persecute him don’t give a rat’s ass about the issue of rape. This is nothing more than yet another opportunity to act self-righteous by proclaiming how horrible and wicked them evil Negroes is. Never mind the many times that white males have been accused of rape particularly against minors [cough Stephen Collins cough]. However, the main problem I have with what he said was about black people and the police that appears very fitting at the moment. One could easily say that his comments about police being justified in shooting and thus killing a black person, because they were running down the street with a loaf of bread or pound cake are currently coming back to haunt him. He was so quick to vilify the black folks in a much dire financial predicament than himself.
Don’t forget this is the same man that for decades has flat out refused to get involved in the debate on race in America. While other famous, well known black men like Dick Gregory, Harry Belafonte and Paul Robeson were taking up the cause of civil rights, Cosby stayed far away from the fight. So, for those that wonder why it is that these women are coming forward only now, I would say what the hell took him so long to make a statement on the state of black folks’ lives in the USA. And when he finally did get around to saying something, it was just to look down his nose on others he considered beneath him. Anybody that didn’t hear an inferiority/superiority complex in what he spoke is either crazy or going deaf.
The great and spectacular intellectualist Tariq Naheed made some very fitting comments about what is happening to Cosby. Mr. Naheed pointed out and rightfully so that when Cosby chastised the white Osbourne family the media rushed to get their opinion on what he said. I certainly don’t recall white people praising his ‘honesty’ or thanking him for telling it like it is while complaining about his detractors and telling them to back off. Then, he was a mouthy Negro that didn’t know his place by talking shit about some rich white folks, something that is a big fat no-no in America. He had his n**ger moment then, and he is definitely having one now. Turns out throwing other black folks under the bus to save his own skin wasn’t the guarantee that he thought it would be to keep them from attacking him. Perhaps offering them a couple of free cases of Jell-O pudding pops will do the trick.

Several St. Louis Rams football players are facing criticism, because they recently did a ‘hands up’ move to show support for slain teen Mike Brown before a game. There are arrogant and whiny liberal morons in the media complaining that it was disrespectful to the St. Louis police department, that it hurt many of the officers feelings by what they did, and I say too fucking bad!
Cops are being Wild West thugs with itchy-as-hell trigger fingers ready to kill any Negro they deem worthy of death, and I’m supposed to give a shit about hurt feelings? Well here’s a revelation, I DON’T! I don’t even think it’s the gesture itself that has some self-centered white people upset.
It’s the fact that the paid monkeys aren’t dancing the right way for their organ grinder. Let’s cut the bullshit shall we? Most, if not all, NFL football players are seen as property. They aren’t allowed to be human and certainly not to have an opinion in a society that rarely regards theirs anyway. Unless, they are like that fool Charles Barkley rushing to soothe white folks fears by telling them what they want to hear. As long as those stupid uneducated little darkies are making millions, they should just be happy and stay quiet. Despite that they are young black men too and potential targets. Or that the term ‘freedom of speech’ is preached daily in this country by the very white folks that are now trying to keep them silent.
Well, which one is it assholes? Is there freedom of speech or isn’t there? Because you can’t tell us what is or isn’t appropriate while you talk of freedom. That ain’t freedom. That’s just what George Orwell predicted with his classic book “1984”. At least that’s the case if you are a well-paid young black person who should just be grateful for what you have.
Funny, but that attitude is nowhere to be found when it’s a house Negro-type agreeing with their mindset. But don’t dare be someone with too much melanin that can think for themselves that’s not acceptable in a supposedly ‘free’ society.
And that whole crap about hurt feelings, I don’t give a rat’s ass about how the cops in America feel. The willingness to take black lives at a moment’s notice has pretty much made their desires null and void to me. Really now, you want to complain about your hurt little temperament while the bodies continue to pile up at the morgue by your hand? No, you don’t have the right to expect or demand ANY more respect from black people, including millionaires, than you have shown your damn self. And usually, that is none.
Plus, as I have stated in another post I am of right now officially and 100 percent done with the argument about not all cops are bad. That doesn’t mean a fucking thing to me when so many are getting away with the murder of black people. Okay Mr. and Mrs. they-aren’t-all-bad, where then are the so-called ‘good ones’ to speak out against the rotten and despicable behavior of their fellow officers? I assume that they don’t exist. That’s why it’s not theirs or anybody else’s place to tell those players what means they can use to express their outrage.
Nobody said jack about white people taking to the streets because they were pissed about the OJ verdict. Nor was one eyebrow raised when the white students at the famed Penn State School protested until the wee hours so that disgraced coach Joe Paterno could keep his job as head coach of the football team. In fact, white people, since the 60’s, have used protesting to validate their point. And much of the time, their behavior wasn’t always peaceful. Plenty of times, bombs were placed in buildings, and campuses were shut down because young white people were angry about something. That, however, is remembered fondly while black folks doing the same is seen, of course, as wrong, despite that the wrath they exhibited might have been justified.
It’s the same exact way it was when those Rams players did the hands up move that many are doing to speak out. There were even some white folks that demanded they offer an apology, which I’m very thankful that they didn’t. Those men don’t have one fucking thing to be sorry for, especially since the cops who kill don’t think they have anything to be remorseful about.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a number of the cops share the same sentiment that I’ve been seeing on the message boards on the internet, that the young black males who died were headed for trouble anyway, and they probably would eventually come up against the police at some point. How the fuck are we supposed to ever find out if that possibility is true when cops respond with death, dumbass?
And who are those assholes to defend cops being reckless punks when they have no idea what type of person they would become someday. I guess since they are young, black and male none of that should matter. As long as enough white people believe that he was destined to be a criminal, that should be the end of it. He was going to be on the path to prison anyway. So, the cops actually did society a favor. All the more reason to keep considering them heroes, because they take out the wretched refuse[ i.e. those lowly n**gers].
Superstar of the Cavaliers basketball team Lebron James is also feeling the heat for wearing an “I can’t breathe” tee shirt. Those were the last words uttered by murdered New York resident Eric Gardner who was brutally attacked by cop scumbags on the city street. Lebron, just like the players in St. Louis, says that the critics can kiss his ass since he has nothing to be sorry for. And he’s absolutely right. Remember, this is the same man Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert tried to take back to slavery days with his bitter rant about Lebron leaving to play for the Miami Heat, as if that jackass had any right to complain, like a grown man can’t make his own freaking decisions! Or that because a young black man is wealthy he’s not entitled to vent his frustrations when there’s a situation that has him riled up.
Those players have just as much right as ANY celebrity to speak out when something is offensive or a travesty. Former president ‘W’ even put in his two cents by saying that he doesn’t understand how there was no indictment against officer Darren Wilson. You and me both George Jr., because I am just as confused as you are by that bullshit grand jury finding. Instead of playing the songs by the late legend Marvin Gaye “What’s Going On” or “Makes Me Wanna Holler”, I’ll be playing Ice-T’s “Cop Killer”. And to whomever I offend with that statement, I say stick it up one end and pull it out the other.
By Lavern Merriweather
According to New York Representative Peter King, it’s not because the black folks in Ferguson and cities across America are fed up with thuggish white cops getting away with murder that they are rioting in record numbers. No, he seems to believe, like most white male pundits, liberal and conservative alike, that it’s because ‘unsavory’ Negroes like Al Sharpton who are stirring the pot of anger. I used that word, because it’s being used a lot by white males in the media and as we all know by now, anytime white males use certain words, it’s code for something else.
What those pissants are really saying is that our good little darkies would stay that way were it not for the militant horde. This is why white folks never wax nostalgic about men like Malcolm X, Huey Newton, Eldridge Cleaver or the Africa family from the Philadelphia MOVE unit. Nobody, even black folks, wants to think fondly of the black people that spoke of fighting back. I believe part of that is that we are still trapped in a slave mentality that we are supposed to be humble while in the face of unspeakable brutality.
Then, when someone like a Nat Turner comes along and says it’s time to take up arms, he’s seen as an outsider or intruder trying to stir up trouble. It’s no surprise that the same words used by the forefathers are being used by white males now. Any Negro who dare speak of revolution and says that we need to strike our enemy with the same force that they bring upon us is vilified or damned as an instigator.
White males in the right wingnut media are still harping on Jeremiah Wright despite the fact that President Obama no longer attends his church. I also don’t remember Obama saying that Mr. Wright was going to be employed in his staff, or that he consults the South Side Chicago preacher on a daily basis. They keep rehashing Mr. Wright because he is, in their eyes, a very dangerous Negro.
When you have a black person, especially a black male, that talks too much for their own good and forgets their place, it makes them extremely uncomfortable, as if we really even need ANY reason from the black leaders to be pissed off. We were already outraged before Al or any other high profile black activist opened their mouth. Black people didn’t need a reminder from Al that we should be fuming about the recent and ongoing rash of murders by white cop assholes. They might as well say ‘those hapless Negro children’ while they are at it, seeing how they seem to imagine that we can’t think for ourselves.
As much respect as I have for Mr. Sharpton, he doesn’t speak for me. And I certainly don’t have such a feeble disposition mentally that he should be my emotional guide. The riots and protests aren’t being led by ‘outsiders’ as white males call them. The protests are coming from the same people that have suffered for years under the tyranny and oppression of a supremacist society. It’s not imperative upon our psyche that Al tells us when or why we should be wrathful. That comes from not wanting to be target practice for scumbag cops who can shoot and kill a black person without worry of consequence. We are tired of cops that aren’t held accountable and can take black lives with impunity. We are done with being expected to think that our lives are expendable or that they have no value. Maybe that’s the way black people felt 50 or 60 years ago, but we can’t afford to allow that same attitude to exist in this day and age. There is far too damn much at stake to keep letting this shit slide and letting cops do whatever the fuck they want when it comes to black folks.
If it sounds like I hate cops, then bravo, you go to the head of the class! I don’t just hate cops; I think they are shit that isn’t even good enough for a toilet, I despise them with a passion. And before anyone whines about who am I going to call to help or save me when a crime is being perpetrated against me, I say I would rather go for street justice.
The police departments across America created this hatred towards them from black people. The cops are responsible through their actions for festering this feeling of distrust and disgust from black people. I didn’t cause this dilemma. I’m just evaluating the end result. In fact, NONE of us did this. It was the cops, and the cops alone.
Furthermore, I’m pretty much over with that whole rationale bullshit of saying well some of them are good people that do work every day to protect lives. I refuse to say that shit while so many are doing everything humanly possible to end black lives while dumbasses like the black male police chief of Ferguson appeals to black people to end the violence. I got a message for Mr. House Negro, you first asshole! He obviously has no qualms about the sickening brutality and violence coming from his boys in blue. Has he ever spent one minute sitting his band of thugs down and telling them to not continue subjecting black people to a Gestapo like rule?
The media, of course, living in their ivory tower of stupidity and denial are pleading with us darkies to work together with the police. They have this feeling that if we would just stop and take time to get to know the police patrolling our communities, then there wouldn’t be so much animosity between us and them. Can you say B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T boys and girls! Because that’s all their little sermonizing is.
You can’t advise black people to stop being furious about the never ending injustices against us. We have every right to be angry. We have every right to take to the streets, and if need be, we would have every right to defend ourselves by any means necessary. Save your speeches and calls for peace unless you want to talk that same rhetoric to the people whose fault it really is to begin with. When that happens, maybe then I will consider taking some of your words to heart. You can’t preach to me what you refuse to practice your damn self. And you for dang sure can’t complain about how destructive and sadistic my behavior is while you revel in your bullying attempts to denigrate those not like you to keep us in our place. Our place is wherever the fuck we say it should be. Right now, that is walking the streets and empowering ourselves to let our feelings be known. You use your power for your own ends and it keeps bringing us to the same exact direction. That ain’t Al’s fault or mine or any of the protesters. It’s yours.

It appears to me that the white powers-that-be in charge have found a new way to get away with lynching. And that is by relying on white police officers in America.
Many officers have appeared on TV whining their position by saying that if those impudent Negroes hadn’t done what they did, then they would still be alive. It’s no surprise or coincidence that most, if not all, cops pleading the case for the boys in blue are white. This is what’s supposed to bridge the gap between black folks and the cops, a bunch of obnoxious, stupid, self-serving pricks defending their behavior no matter how wrong?
The fact that the media, as well as the cops themselves, are using a white face exclusively as the voice of authority tells me they don’t want to solve this problem. It also says that cops aren’t willing in any way, shape or form to admit that they make mistakes or aren’t always right. Make no mistake that when you see a cop on TV, it’s the media and their way of telling us haughty Negroes that we’d better watch our step.
Some cops even have the gall to complain and criticize African-American athletes for wearing tee shirts that condemn their actions. Might I remind those same police officers that this is a free fucking country, and they don’t have a damn thing to say about what someone wears! So, are they going to start shooting the players, because they aren’t happy with how rich, uppity black males are expressing their opinion? Last time I checked the laws of this land called America says that they can do just that. So the cops bitching right now can shove it up one end and pull it out the other.
I have no respect for cops, especially at the present time. And for those who claim that cops are here to protect all the citizens, spare me. You can’t continue to justify reckless, senseless and RACIST murders, then still expect respect. It ain’t going to happen. Freedom obviously isn’t free for everyone and since cops seem to think that it’s still 1935 with regards to them believing that they can tell black men what to do, they must also feel that it’s open season on young black lives, the same way that it was for a lot, and I do mean lot, of white males when lynching was their favorite sport and it was all perfectly legal.
Not too long ago white males could kill black folks without batting an eye, and there was, of course, zero consequence. Police departments across America are taking that mindset to heart. They see their badge and gun as a free license to keep the tradition set by their ancestors and forefathers rolling right along. Cops are fully aware of their power and the fact that unless it’s something extremely heinous against a protected member of society, they can basically do whatever the fuck they want. Black people were having this conversation 100 years ago, then 50 years ago, and it hasn’t stopped.
The blame for that can’t be placed anywhere else but solely on the cops themselves. If they want to go there with showing respect, then why is it that the majority of the deaths are black folks and not them? I could understand their point if the body count was even remotely equal, but it ain’t. However, because we live in a land that supports the master/slave mentality, I doubt that will ever occur.
The battle is very one-sided. Yet, they still want to lie and deny that the blame should ever fall on their shoulders. This is why I shed no tears when I hear that a cop’s life has been taken in the line of duty. Sounds harsh right? Well guess what? I refuse to give a shit while so many black mothers and fathers are burying their kids and worrying about funeral expenses. I don’t care about the death of a cop when so many happily live in the same denial that they imagine we do. If they were hoping that I or any other black people would agree, then they have come to the wrong place.
You can’t tell me that a thug shooting 41 shots wouldn’t notice that there wasn’t any return fire. That also goes for 50 shots, and since when the fuck is 50 shots even necessary to take down a suspect? Those sonsofbitches know damn good and well what they are doing when they end black lives. Period. End of story.
When dealing with a child carrying a fake gun, you mean to tell me that they would have felt so damn in fear for their safety if that boy were white? The answer to that would be a resounding HELL NO! We have all been here before, and the conversation has already been spoken for them to just not get it. These fuckers keep killing Negroes for one reason and one reason only, because they know they can.
You can have as many high-minded house Negroes like Oprah and Charles Barkley all you want, but that won’t change a damn thing. The murders are being committed by people who go to work every day with the knowledge of whose live is valuable and whose isn’t. So, the little platitudes about how it’s the fault of us black folks, because we don’t do as we are told is just more hot air bullshit. Furthermore, there is often times more than one person involved. So, stop acting as if your thought process or judgment can’t possibly be tainted. Cops can be the most racist, bigoted assholes on the planet just like white people in any occupation. Don’t demand that we never question your motives or tactics especially in how you deal with people that you have a very bad history with. Cops have gone out of their way to make themselves the enemy when it comes to Negroes. That said, they don’t get to dictate to Lebron, Jordan, Tiger or any black human being how we should respond to you or whether we can call you out on your bullshit.
The same forefathers that you continue to murder black people for also gave us that right like it or not. We also have the right to peaceably assemble, but not when constantly facing violence and brutality from you. You get what you give. I only wish more black folks had the guts to take up arms in how they deal with you. Of course, we get prison time where you just get suspended. And you have the absolute nerve to wonder why we don’t want to do what you tell us. It’s because we know you won’t treat the people who look like you that way. What you call serve and protect I call an opportunity to finish what other white males started so long ago.
By Lavern Merriweather:
There has been a lot of talk about how the protests occurring in Ferguson, Chicago, Detroit, Boston and all across America over the killing of Mike Brown and other young black people by police should remain peaceful. My two cents on the subject is DAMN THAT!
As Brotha so rightfully stated while beating me to the punch, European explorers, who then became European settlers, who then became white Americans, have always used violence to resolve their conflicts. Throughout the history of European occupation on foreign lands, including this one, males with fair skin have resorted to brutality to send their point home. Look up any history not tainted by false propaganda, and you will find that wanting your position respected by committing vile, sadistic acts has been the calling card of white men for centuries.
Starting with old Chris Columbus, who is seen as a hero by white folks, and how treated the Indigenous people already inhabiting American soil. That culminated with the ultimate in evil, the slave trade, right up to WW2 where American citizens, who happen to be born with Japanese lineage, were put in internment camps. There is also the matter of the atomic bomb being dropped on Hiroshima in Japan. In the mid to late 60’s, it was the American involvement in the Vietnam War. Once Reagan was elected, he began this so called ‘war on drugs’. So naturally, any country that brown people who spoke Spanish lived in became a target. After him we had W’s daddy, who soon declared war on – and is still attacking Arab folks in the Middle East. Seriously, how the fuck are you going to go to another man’s country and tell him that he has to leave or else? And how the hell can you expect peace from the very same group of people that for decades you have shown nothing but contempt and oppression. If the white males who work for and support the thin blue line of destruction want peace from Negroes, then they damn sure better show likewise.
Notice how none of the examples I mentioned spoke of white people turning their aggression on those who resemble them. In fact, many times, white male German prisoners of war were allowed to inhabit establishments that black people could not. Plus, there were no bombs dropped on any Italian or German countries, and neither of those groups was forced into internment camps. Yet, according to many white people in America, if you are born here ,then you should just call yourself a regular old American.
They complain that Negroes shouldn’t keep distancing ourselves from the red, white and blue by hyphenating our ancestral terminology with a country that we have no real allegiance to. Well damn, I wonder why the hell that is!? I don’t…
Actually, I know exactly why is it. It’s because those same white folks saying that are talking out of one side of their mouth. Make up your fucking mind, stupid! Either I AM an American or I’m not, because at the rate you are going, you are making it very clear which moniker is more appropriate.
White people can’t expect us to play nice while kicking sand in our faces and pushing us off the swing that ain’t how it works, particularly when no one is immune regardless of age, occupation, economic status, education, looks. Nothing protects you from police violence when you are black.
William Randall Cox, who is a doctor was tasered so viciously at the birthday party for his teen son that he had a heart attack. Maurice White Jr. was another tasing victim of thug cops needing to prove to this impudent Negro who really is boss. An 80 year-old black woman with Alzheimer’s and a cane was body slammed so roughly to the ground by a white female cop that it cracked her skull. Aiyana Jones, who was only 7 years-old, was shot and killed by a white male cop, who to this day has not faced any charges or even an investigation, despite the fact that the whole scenario was filmed for a TV show which was later scrapped. Even if they didn’t air the footage for the viewing public, it still should have been used as evidence. Bernard Monroe was at his house enjoying a summer barbecue with his family when cops showed up claiming that there was an arrest warrant for his grown son. Mr. Monroe behaved as anyone would by demanding to know why they were there disrupting his family’s good time. The situation ended with Mr. Monroe being shot and killed by police who claimed that he went for one of the officer’s gun in an altercation. Now, where have we heard that one before?
The lies have become so standard that the police are using them for all occasions when they murder yet another innocent black person. One of Mr. Monroe’s family members said that it looked like one of the cops was trying to plant a gun on the dead man. And the family was not allowed anywhere near the body, nor were they able to call an ambulance for several hours.
Meanwhile, the media is preaching that Negroes should stay humble in the face of so much heinous behavior. White people who rarely experience despicable violence at the hands of cops are telling black folks that it’s somehow our responsibility to bridge the gap between them and us. If we would only stop treating officers as less of a friend, then we wouldn’t have such bad relations. That sounds like a classic case of playing blame the victim.
Cops will commit sickening cruel acts, because they know they can get away with it against society’s most expendable citizens. So, fucking spare me the “It’s because we haughty bad little darkies aren’t willing to kiss and make-up” rational. Don’t lecture me on how I should react when you get a far more positive display of behavior from them than we do. Of course, you feel that way, because you have that damn luxury from cops not slaughtering people who look like you left and right or creating this culture of brutality and distrust.
I also don’t see how unleashing tanks and aiming assault rifles at unarmed civilians is helping matters either. One time host of the ABC gabfest “The View” Lisa Ling had the nerve to say that cops put their lives on the line every day for the public. Well, that sure as shit ain’t the segment of the public whose lives they are trying to end at every fucking opportunity! Cops are only about keeping black folks in line and nothing more.
Stephen Colbert, who hosts his own show on Comedy Central, spoke of three white males that dared cops to shoot them, yet they are miraculously still alive and breathing. The same can’t be said for many black folks that have unfortunate run-ins with police officers. This is why I agree with Brotha when he says that he doesn’t blame the protesters or the late and great James Baldwin who defended young black folks swiping TVs in 1968. It’s not about wanting a TV that badly. It’s about thumbing your nose at the system the only way you know how to, the very same system that’s run by people who speak of peace one minute while they engage in violence themselves the next.
And for those high minded Negroes who criticize the rioters I say shut your whiny holier-than-ass up. You spend a lot of time talking and no time acting. Instead of complaining, why don’t you do a better job of fighting for black folks rights. You claim their methods aren’t working, but from the looks of things, neither are yours.
