Miiley Cyrus twerking on Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards

By now, everyone has either seen or heard about the infamous Miley Cyrus performance at the VMAs last month, you know the one where she bumps and grinds her ass against crooner Robin Thicke. Then, dances with a foam finger around some huge teddy bears. She also takes said finger then rubs it against her crotch.

The day after there was a firestorm, many in the media criticized her for being so unabashedly skanky. Then, feminist groups and bloggers came out in full force to defend Miley supporting her right to shake her ass, which leads me to question why is it that when a white female – in this case, one who is barely out of her teens – showcases herself in the most sexualized way possible is always considered a good thing? I say that because the opposite is true of black women, while any attack on a white woman is automatically labeled sexism.

They are basically saying that a white woman should be completely immune from criticism. But, it’s not sexism to call a woman who is behaving as a slut a slut. That’s just being highly observant.

Let’s cut the crap here. Miley is trying her damndest to shed the whole ‘Hannah Montana’ image, apparently by acting as the world’s nastiest and biggest skankbag ever. Her behavior was utterly appalling, but somehow because she is white, that makes it perfectly okay. And she’s not the only one that night.

Fellow entertainer Lady Gaga, not to be outdone, showed up in a seashell bikini that bared her ass, which she eagerly showed off for damn near the entire night by using any reason to bend over. It seems that musical talent and being a respectable artist that people could look up or emulate has been overshadowed by who can be the world’s best hoe.

I can remember a time when female singers relied just as much on their voice as they did on their looks. I have heard Miley sing, and if this is her only day job, then I highly recommend that she gives it up. But lack of true singing ability and showing one’s rear literally is not the only problem I have with the feminazi frenzy to protect Miss Miley. It’s the attitude that no matter how ridiculously over-the-top trampish a white woman is behaving, she is still seen as ‘pure’, and that white women are the only ones who are ever truly ‘hot’.

There have been countless white females, such as Kate Upton and Pamela Anderson, that have used their looks to their advantage financially, even white women who really aren’t that attractive *cough* Jennifer Aniston *cough*. And I have nothing against that. However, my issue is paralleling that with black women.

The very same white male brigade of moral authority that gets their panties in a twisted-up knot over any type of black female sexuality sings a much different song when it’s a white woman. They have made it perfectly plain that their disgust lies not with the behavior itself but the person and in this case women behind it. It’s why nobody bats an eye when a white girl named Fergie shakes her nice tight ass in music videos surrounded by black men or why music impresario Pharell Williams can have a bunch of scantily clad white women prancing around him with nary a peep from white males.

Yet, put a black woman in the same scenario and watch out! It will be a shitstorm to end all shitstorms. It will also be completely ignored by the feminists groups now taking up arms for Miley. The white women who run America’s most prominent feminist groups are notorious for leaving women of color out in the cold. They only acknowledge our existence when it suits them.

So, when you have the first black First Lady ever, they obviously have better things to do than actually give a shit about a supposed fellow ‘sister’ in the struggle. That’s because to them, their fight is not our fight, and their problems are not our problems. Even when it’s the same thing, they seem to believe that they couldn’t possibly relate to what we are going through and vice-versa.

What pisses me off most are the black women who nod their heads in agreement, knowing full well their so-called solidarity never comes from a place of genuine concern. When has-been actress Ashley Judd went after the rap community, black women were right by her side, all the while never questioning why it is that little Miss Ashley doesn’t appear to have any trouble tolerating the rampant misogyny in her own industry. I have a hard time believing that any instance where a white woman is there for a black woman is not being done out of a purely selfish self-serving purpose, especially when you take into account the countless times that white women could have been there for a black woman, but weren’t.

The feminist enclave stayed silent while Janet Jackson was persecuted relentlessly by bitter, racist hypocritical white males in the media for baring a naked tit for ten seconds. They acted as if she murdered an entire kindergarten class, never once mentioning that singer Justin Timberlake was the one who pulled her dress off and exposed her in the first place. Then again, he’s just another victim of the hussy, predator black female on the prowl ready to strike some unsuspecting white male.

See, we are not pure in our sexuality, and we bring it all on ourselves, of course, because we refuse to control our basic carnal urges. The only difference between us and black men – to them – is they do it by brute force, but we have to use mind games or voodoo. You can’t slut shame a black woman because we don’t have any. We bare and don’t care, and we obviously have no sense of decency or modesty.

That’s why when a sweet little thing like Miley comes under fire, the whole world has to stop. She is just a good girl wrapped up in slutty clothes that she can take off whenever, whereas we are like that 24/7. Maybe black women should look to Miley as a good example seeing how her purity shines through even while she ass humps an oversized teddy bear and a man old enough to be her father who evidently enjoyed it. Well bless her little heart.
